Cecily strong

Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comic and actress, is well-known for her role as a cast member in 'Saturday Night Live.' She began her career in acting, but discovered her love for comedy at the age of nine following a course in Improv. She wanted to make acting her profession however, she soon realized that her passion was comedy, and shifted her attention on improv shows. Her first stage was aboard cruise ships along with fellow members of Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago as well as other improv groups. Strong was able to continue performing at prominent events, such as Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest and Virgin Daiquiri The only female improv group. She made it famous when she appeared on "Saturday night Live.' She co-anchored the Weekend Update segment with Seth Meyers initially, and later with Colin Jost. Cecily's greatest moment was her performance as the role of "the girl you wish you hadn't started a conversation with at a gathering'. She made her debut as a film star in the same film, titled "How to Fund an Uterus". She has a strong opinion against women being treated in showbiz in a way that makes them appear as bikini-models or friends, rather than as powerful protagonists in mainstream film.
