Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A grades for her A Levels. As she discussed her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for being unable to attend a college. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. The company performed in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. It also received a positive reception. Coleman was awarded the award with a prestigious award for her performance. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. The audition took place in 2005. Coleman was awarded two awards in 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. She was nominated for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance in the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press meeting held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman will replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat picked her for the role due to her ability to work together with Smith and also because she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the industry since 1987, and was a part of many TV and film projects. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows as opposed to films. Eva has had many TV roles, but Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. The part of the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children landed her two Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva is an entrepreneur, and also an actress. She is a thrice-married woman and has a daughter with her second spouse.
