Zoe-perry
Perry was born on the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC show Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see the actress pursue acting until she reached the age of 18. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school, but started performing as a means to meet new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, performing in minor parts on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry go back to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In the year 2015, she was together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. Her father played her on the ABC drama Scandal. That same year she played a young model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a youthful version. The role was selected through an audition, even though she had a close connection with it.
